HANDS ON EUROPE is a cross-curricular school project promoted and developed with the financial aid from The European Union under the Socrates program - COMENIUS 1.1 , in which the culture and traditions as experienced in the regions involved form a focal point for the development of learning skills in the areas of Language, History, Geography, Arts and Craft, Religion, Civics, Music and Sports.
The main ideas of the project are : to know, to turn to good account and to promote the folk culture elements, the traditions and customs from the South of Romania as well as other European countries, through the inter-school partnership.
In order to encourage cultural exchanges and to realize a positive impact on pupils and stuff involved in the program, the project tries to realize a strong connection to the school needs, to promote an active and real partnership with the community. It also encourages the struggle against nationalism and xenophobia, promoting actions implying all categories, indifferent of nationality, sex, political or religious affiliation. |
