CHRISTMAS AND RAMADAN    

The Comenius teams from Craiova, Rome, Larnaka, Castell`Umberto, Podari and Isparta made their researches and studies regarding the chosen activities. The product was a very beautiful common PowerPoint presentation document including : religious significance of Christmas, customs and traditions, handicrats, carols, a painting and photo gallery, video recordings ( Comenius team from Craiova ) ; Christmas origins, religion and folklore, symbols, traditions and plants  Christmas cards ( Comenius team from Rome ) ; Presenting of the folk painter Yiannis Pelekanos woth a presentation of the key activities and customs by month ( Comenius team from Larnaka ) ; Christmas traditions in Sicily; Christmas greetings ( Comenius team from Sicily ) ; Romanian Christmas traditions ( Comenius team from Podari ) ; Ramadan - what it is, when it is celebrated, customs and traditions, music, Karagoz and Hacivat - the traditional Turkish shadow theatre ( Comenius team from Isparta )

EASTER, CARNAVAL AND KURBAN    

The second documentation step gathered a lot of materials about the chosen subjects. All of them made the subject of the second common PowerPoint presentation, including : history of Easter, Easter symbols, ancient traditions, recipes, games, painted eggs ( Comenius team from Craiova ) ; Romanian Easter traditions and school cultural activities ( Comenius team from Podari ) ; Easter Italian traditions ( Comenius team from Castell`Umberto ) ; Carnival, the ancient masks, masks drawings, masks at school ( Comenius team from Rome ) ; Kurban(Eyd) Bayrami - what it is, when it is celebarted, customs and traditions ( Comenius team from Isparta ).

The Dowry Box , The Ist and the IInd  parts, a partnership program carried on by  pupils from Henri Coanda Highschool Craiova, Romania ( the third grade ) and pupils from the Primary schools from Draganu and Rusanesti -  Valcea County, two schools which offered volunteerly to work together with the school from Craiova . The main aim of this program is to discover and appreciate the value of traditional handicrafts, as art products that children can made themselves using natural objects, or meeting  the primary pottery, a specific custom in Valcea, in order to make them known to the Comenius partners as national authentic traditional values. The children met and work together in Craiova ( Romania , Oct. 04 ) and in Valcea ( Romania , Jun. 05 ) The program included a study visit to two centres of folk culture from Curtea de Arges and Horezu.

All the activities made by the Comenius team of "Henri Coanda" High School were made known through many kinds of products, such as : booklets, folders, CDs, DVDs, the school magazine, local newspapers articles, participation diplomas, exhibitions. 

The Comenius team of "Giuliano Da Sangallo" School made a lot of products for sharing their work with all their local participants as well as with all the partners : thematic folders, CDs, posters, exhibitions, booklets, maps, graphics.

This is a part of the exhibition organised by the Comenius team of "Henri Coanda" High School , Craiova, for the Comenius Day. We had the pleasure to exhibit the materials offered by all the partners, including ourselves, during the first year.

All the drawings and pictures prepared by pupils from all the participating schools for The International Exhibition "Hands on Europe" organised in Isparta, Turkey, were put on the sheets by ourselves with our hosts` big and kind  support.
